Organic Sourdough Batard-50% fresh milled flour

Oval-shaped sourdough loaf made with 50% freshly milled organic hard white wheat flour, 50% organic unbleached all purpose flour. It is soft inside with a chewy crust and flavor that is sweet and nutty alongside the signature sourdough tang. The addition of fresh milled whole grain flour provides added health benefits. When wheat berries are freshly milled, the resulting flour contains the bran, germ and endosperm of the wheat berry. These components are stripped away when all-purpose flour is processed for store shelves. Therefore, it naturally contains B vitamins(thiamine, folate, B6), vitamin E, zinc, magnesium and iron, extra protein and dietary fiber.

Soft sourdough with a rustic look that is flavored with olive oil, flaky sea salt, rosemary and garlic in addition to the signature tang. Hi, I'm Tricia! The Little House on the Prairie book series has always been a favorite of mine, and I am currently reading it again with my fourth daughter. My cottage bakery is inspired by those stories that revolve around baking and cooking from scratch with minimal ingredients on the homestead. Over time, I have shifted towards making more food from scratch using real ingredients to feed myself, my husband and our four daughters. This desire to make more of our own food and a love for the signature tang, led me to explore sourdough baking. Soon, I had created my own sourdough starter and stopped buying bread from the grocery store. It is heart-warming to know that while so much has changed since those pioneer days, my daughters will also experience a childhood that includes a jar of sourdough starter on the counter. I am excited to offer my sourdough bakery to the community, as we all shift towards food made from scratch in the home!
